Bethany,
I can’t begin to describe how much you mean to me. You are such an amazing person, not just to me, but to our friends, family and others. I am so fortunate to have you not only in my life, but as my partner, as we take on the world.

You know how to make me laugh and cheer me, and others up when they are down. That’s something special to have in a person. Your smile is adorable as well as your personality. You’re pretty cute too.

I hope you have a great birthday, turning 25 [wow, you are so much older than me], and experience what you want to in the next 75 years. You have been a great best friend one could ask for.

Happy Birthday, and I love you.

Tomorrow, don’t forget to set your alarm for 3:00Am and turn back your clock an hour. Thanks Congress!

Mt. Vernon, Washington, is to give the key to the city to conservative talk-show host Glenn Beck. Why? I’ll try to explain. Mt. Vernon has always been strange (enter horse and man story), but I think this really tells a lot about the city now.
In reply, and the reason to mention this story, Bellingham, Washington wants to give the key to the city to Jon Stewart from the Daily Show.
The mayor of Mt. Vernon, Bud, Norris, is to honor Beck with a key on September 26. With this announcement, six of the seven city council members are planning on not supporting and not showing up to the event. However, tickets were sold out within one day of them going on sale. Beck is a native to Mt. Vernon, and graduated from Bellingham Sehome High School.
Mayor Pike of Bellingham and Stewart both went to the same high school in New Jersey, yet they didn’t know each other. Pike sent an e-mail through the Comedy Central’s website as well as a formal invitation to Stewart using snail mail. Pike doesn’t think Stewart will respond, but has a lot of hope for a response. Pike says the city isn’t officially involved.
